Apple hides the Library by default now, but I think that’s different than Invisible/Hidden Files.
The easiest way to find the Preferences folder is to go into the Preferences area of WaveLab and choose “Show Setting Folder”.
When it appears, save this location in your Finder sidebar as a favorite so you can get to it easily later.

It was made using WaveLab 10 but the concept is the same.
Also, you should always post a screen shot of what you’re actually seeing because “not showing” can be interpreted in a few ways.
Sometimes the “GEN” option gets enabled for certain plugins which just shows a generic interface rather than the real plugin GUI.
I would check your preferences if that’s the case:

Know this is an old thread, but I’ve just sorted the same issue with Realphones. It installed with ‘Gen’ as a default, just masses of sliders, many you couldn’t even accesss. No idea why it installs default but I’ve been in touch with dSONIQ about it. Thanks to JP for pointing this feature out.
