Plugin questions about Cubasis

Hi

Soon I’ll be getting an ipad and install Cubasis.
I haven’t tried it and don’t know much about it yet.

Let’s say I want to have some realistic drums (like EZdrummer og Addictive Drums).
Which plugins could I use for that? Do they exist for Cubasis?

Which pluins/instruments are included in Cubasis?

What is the plugin format in Cubasis?
I assume it’s a special format, so mac installers won’t work?

Are plugins added via in-app purchases only?
Is there a list of available plugins I can browse somewhere, on a pc?

Hi ohm-ish,

Thanks for your message.

Not trying to convince you to buy the app, but please note that Cubasis and all in-app purchases are currently 50% off (ends July 3, 2019).

There are many great third party apps available on the market.

I’d suggest to join the Audiobus forum (https://forum.audiob.us), which probably houses the greatest iOS community.
You will find lots of nice people there who are willing to share tipps and recommendations.
In addition, it might make sense to browse the web for great drum apps on iOS.

I’d strongly recommend to check out apps that do support the Audio Unit format though.

Which pluins/instruments are included in Cubasis?

Cubasis comes with Micrologue, a virtual-analog synth that comes with 100+ great sounding presets.
The included MiniSampler allows to create your own instrument, and same way comes with great drum and piano factory presets.
And then there is MicroSonic which is a lightweight workstation type instrument, that also comes with 100+ instruments.

Cubasis fully supports Audio Unit (both audio and MIDI), Inter-App Audio and Audiobus.
Desktop plug-ins can’t be used on iOS per se.

Cubasis comes with 18 included effect plug-ins.
Among them are a pro-grade channel strip plug-in, EQ, Reverb, Delay, Filter, Chorus, Flanger, Phaser and much more.

On top, we offer plug-ins from Waves, and two FX suites via in-app purchase.
