I’m pretty sure I’ve seen a post about this before, but I’ve already searched and can’t seem to find it.
I’ve been using MeterPlugs Perception AB Plug-in for several years and it has always worked correctly. A few weeks ago, I rearranged the plug-in layout on one of my monitors, and since then it started opening with this grey bar on the right side of it, as you can see in the screenshot.
I assume it’s probably something simple to fix, but I’ve already gone through all the obvious options in the WaveLab Pro 13 preferences without success.
I’ve already deleted WL13 preferences main folder and it wrote everything again from top to bottom at launching, but the issue persists. Even when importing WL 12 preferences, it’s the same.
What is weird is that the issue occurs on all 3 monitors, even when using different screen resolutions.
This is normal. This is because your plugin is narrow, while the control bar has a minimum width that must be respected. This is not a new behavior, that has always been like this for narrow plugins.
Thanks a lot PG for your quick response, but I’ve been using this plugin for a couple of years and it only started appearing with the grey sidebar a couple weeks ago. The only thing I did was rearrange my layout. No Wavelab Updates, nor this specific plugin updates.
I reinstalled wavelab 12 and guess what?
It’s working great as expected, as you can see in the photo.
In WaveLab 12, controls laid out over two rows was possible, as can be seen on last your picture. This is no longer possible in WaveLab 13. Sorry for that.
The weird thing here is that the plug-in controls had two rows in Wavelab 13 during 2 months and suddenly somehow it changed. There are more Wavelab 13 users talking about this situation on Facebook’s Wavelab Users Group.
Anyway, if there’s nothing else one can do, I guess we’ll have to live with it like this.
