I have a small, 2nd screen that I would like to use solely to keep my output limiter open on, and nothing else. It’s set to the side a bit, so that I can glance at it whenever I need to without having to open and close it. I use “Lock Window” to keep it in place
With this setup, all other plug-ins will open on the 2nd screen as well, and I have to drag them over to my main monitor. Is there a way to avoid this?
Yes, I find Wavelab’s handling of plugin windows slightly baffling and definitely annoying. Same as you I have the output limiter on a second screen and locked. Then, opening a clip FX window always pulls it to the second screen and I need to drag it over to the primary display - fair enough, but if I happen to close that plug-in window, the next time I open a clip FX window it’s back on the secondary display and I need to move it again. Seems to me, it should open where the clip FX window was previously. Locking the clip FX window isn’t viable since it then doesn’t switch with selected clips.
Along the same lines, opening plugins in a batch processor always pulls them up at the lower left-hand corner of the primary display regardless of where you’ve moved them to previously.
