FWIW, I have thousands (ok, maybe hundreds) of plug-ins because I also do lots of production and mixing work and the VST scan for me is surprisingly quick (maybe 5 seconds). It would be nice to have an option to bypass the scan altogether in Dorico but I can live with it for now
