as the topic says, select polygonal lasso selection tool, make a selection, program crashes, everytime, Spectralayers 13

Confirmed. Happens immediately, does not happen in SL12.

Steps:

  1. Open SL 13.0.0.447
  2. Load any audio file
  3. Select the Polygonal Lasso Selection tool
  4. Click on the waveform and move the cursor
  5. Click again – the program disappears from the screen.

I can confirm. Just tested it, It crashes SL in ARA too.

Edit to add: Not only that, but it corrupted the cache file, so even after restarting nuendo, the crashed blank spectrum with a line drawn (from the polygonal lasso) was the only thing that appeared when opening the same clip in ARA, even if I removed and re-added the extension.

Pandoras box of bugs is still wide open!
Such kind of bugs render the program unusable for serious long time work (“If I click here, will it crash the program?”) and reduce the program to a mere toy tool.

Thanks for reporting, I can repro on Windows (doesn’t seem to be happening on mac), this will be fixed in patch 1 coming on July 15th.
