Polyphonic MIDI recording and import?

I can’t seem to be able to get either of these to work. The MIDI recording stays in one staff and one voice and when I import midi I don’t see the flow imported at all (MIDI from Logic Pro).

What am I missing?

For multi-voice real-time recording, you’ll need a grand staff instrument such as piano or similar. Select just a single rest or note in the upper staff, and then click the record button.

For MIDI import, if you’re getting no music at all after importing, it would be useful to see the MIDI file you’re trying to import.
