Pops during recording and playback

Hey everyone. Im having a problem with pops during recording and playback. Ive adjusted buffer size, checked for mismatched settings between my interface and cubase, double and triple checked my hard ware and its still happening. Is there any other troubleshooting steps i may have missed?
My SETUP is:
Cubase Pro 14
Soundcraft Signature MTK22 console/interface
Intel i9 14th gen processor
128 gigs ddr5 ram
3TB ssd
2TB NVME
4070 Super GPU

Have you run latencyMon to see what could be causing it?

Which version of Windows are you using? Are you using the driver from Soundcraft or a different “generic” driver?

I havent and thats a new one for me. Ill give it a try. Thanks

Im running windows 11 and the drivers are soundcraft and all up to date.

Okay, that’s good … I think. However, from what I’m seeing on the webpage for your device, the driver is from early 2019 and doesn’t list Windows 11 as a supported OS. I’m not saying it shouldn’t work, but it might be worth trying a different driver just to compare.

One other thing, are you running the studio driver for your Nvidia graphics?

Is this a new problem, or has this configuration always been troublesome?

Unfortunately i updated alot of software shortly before i noticed it so theres a long list of things that could have caused it, however the driver not supporting windows 11 makes alot of sense. Any recomendations for a third party driver/software?

You should have the Steinberg built-in ASIO Driver and Generic Low Latency ASIO Driver you could try just to compare. ASIO4All is also a popular option. It seems like something else might be going on, though.

Did you try running LatencyMon?

Are you using the Nvidia Studio driver?

It’s difficult to help without knowing what you have tried already.

Hi Gregory,

You are running Windows 11 and installed the drivers for your Soundcraft. If I am not mistaken this should be [Soundcraft Multichannel USB Audio Driver V3.20] as provided in the downloads. It appears to be a driver of 2019 which might be an issue. To be honest I would not know.

Even though some will argue with me I would disable the Intel EIST option in the BIOS and also disable all C-States. If this does not solve the issue you can simply enable these options again. It’s only a few minutes work to test.

According to some this should not be needed any more in 2025 but it is still the first thing I do when installing a DAW. I remember having the same issue as you describe with an older Line 6 UX1 and optimizing the BIOS fixed it immediatly.

Hope it helps
