Possible bug: Coloured tempo items appear black

I set the colour

But it shows black

When selected again, it shows the colour in the properties pane

By changing the paragraph format, I can get colour.

But I thought “select, filter, set colour” was easier for a quick marking of tempi when proofing

When “select all, filter by paragraph, /pick a paragraph/, colour” it works well

(but not if the para chosen is Tempo…)

Anyone who can verify this behaviour?

Could it be that Tempo inherits the settings from the Tempo (Immediate) para format, and the colouring is overridden? It seems odd that the properties pane would not be the most “powerful” in this sequence of settings.

(This is on a Mac)

I can reproduce this on my MacBook Pro.

Yes, it’s likely that because Tempo Marks moved to Paragraph Styles, that is where their colour should be set. But it’s possible that the override not working is a bug.

It is a nice feature to filter objects and set a temporary colour without changing the paragraph format. Hopefully, this can be resolved in an update.

The issue is simply that tempo items (as distinct from Shift+X or Shift+Alt+X text items) do not currently respect the Color property. This will be corrected in a future update.
