Possible to Turn Off Insert Mode as Default?

Very helpful feature. But I’ve been turning it on unintentionally (maybe hitting “I” key), and creates quite a mess before I realize it.

Is there a setting to turn it off completely? I use it rarely, but helpful when I do (intentionally!).

I guess you could remove the key command so that you can only activate Insert mode by clicking the button in the panel?

Thanks Zalde. You beat me to it. Right after I hit “send”, I thought of that, or requiring multiple keys for the shortcut.
