PreCount resets to beginning of the bar

Has anyone experienced the pre-count resetting to the beginning of the bar when record button is pressed? I’m trying to start my recording on the 3rd beat of a 4/4 bar and I have a 1 bar count-in set. When I select the record button (num *), the transport sets the cursor to the first beat of the bar as the precount starts. I haven’t seen anything in the preferences or metronome setup to disable this. Other than setting a punch in point, how can I stop this behavior??

I’m not at Cubase right now, but I think if you look in the transport menu for Record Modes, there’s a setting for Record at Cursor (or something similar).
