Preferences: VST - Instruments use Automation Read and Write for All Tracks, and VST - Mute Pre-Send when Mute

Can someone please test these 2 preferences?

  1. VST - Instruments use Automation Read and Write for All Tracks
  2. VST - Mute Pre-Send when Mute

They don’t seem to do anything for me here.

  1. Instruments (track and plug-in GUI) are always affected by Alt+R/Alt+W. Shouldn’t this preference give them “immunity” when deactivated?
  2. Sends are always muted, when the channel is muted. If this is true, a further implication arises with Preference “VST - Group Channels: Mute Sources as well”, because one would want to mute the channel and let the sends through (just the wet), but if “Mute Pre-Send when Mute” is busted, it affects all links of the output chain.

I just created a new post about the Preference for VST (Mute pre-send…). Sorry, I didn’t see your post. On my system, the preference works; that is, I can mute the Dry (source channel) and monitor only the PRE-send channel (FX channel). However, the preference does not “stick” after closing Cubase, and requires that I manually un-check it every time.
