Preserve Event Selection When Duplicating Track Versions

When duplicating track versions, previously selected events are deselected, which disrupts workflow in several ways:

  • Full screen editors close and must be manually reopened and resized

  • ARA extensions like Melodyne or SpectraLayers cannot be instantiated via macro, since the target events are no longer selected after the version is created

  • Selectively editing specific events (rather than all events on a track) requires manual re-selection

Having the new version inherit the previous selection state would allow users to immediately continue editing without interruption, and would make macro-based workflows involving track versions and ARA extensions viable.
