Presets for detect silence

I use detect silence to reduce bleed in instruments recorded live. I frequently apply it to kick, snare, toms, sometimes HH, guitar, vocals, and horns. I notice that I fairly consistently use the same starting settings for particular instruments, e.g., kick vs snare vs. vocals/horns). As I get better at this, I fine tune the minimum open/close times, pre and post roll, fade time, thresholds, etc.

It would be wonderful to have at least user presets for detect silence, different presets for different applications.

(Yes I also use SL8 pro).

Good idea to allow presets. You should edit your post and select “Feature Request” as a tag. That will make it more likely to get the attention of someone from Steinberg.
