I would LOVE a preset for a pattern event. It’s a pain to have to export a selected track so that it retains the names for the step lanes. Currently that’s the only way I can think of doing it.
Just to contextualise, the problem is that if you sequence using the Pattern Event feautre of cubase (kudos btw steinberg) then the lanes are just named C1, C#1, etc etc. and it loads with only six lanes as default. So you add more lanes, change which notes they trigger if needed, rename them, and groovy you’re good to go. But then if I want to load another, different, vsti but that uses my same mapping set up (I tend to use the same drum mappings across the board when possible) then I have to do all that again.
Also god forbid you want to copy a pattern event over to a different track.
