On wide screen monitors, would it be possible on the print preview screen to display more than one page, so as to fill the entire page, rather than just one as illustrated here?
Do you really want to see more of that one?
Sorry, I’m just trolling.
I don’t blame you in the slightest. I console myself that this is just another example of Dorito’s stylistic flexibility…
“so as to fill the entire screen”, surely..?
I was thinking just the other day that showing spreads would be really useful.
In Print Preview, click on Job Type then click on Normal. There are 3 other choices: Spreads, 2-up and Booklet. Choosing one of those might display more than one page at a time.
True! Though you have to remember to undo that when you actually print/export.
Unfortunately, the print preview widget provided by Qt doesn’t have a way to show an arbitrary number of pages in a way that would allow this. We could implement something along similar lines ourselves, but it then wouldn’t be a true print preview in the way that the current one is, so there are trade-offs between what you see on the screen and what you would then actually see come out of your printer: in theory, at least, the current print preview hews closer to the latter than something we could build ourselves.
