Print score not working in Cubase Pro 9.5

System:

Cubase Pro 9.5
Win-10 64 (ver 1703, build 15063.726)
CPU - Intel Pentium Dual-Core G3220 @ 3.0Ghz
RAM - 8GB
Interface - Steinberg MR816X

  1. Create empty project in Cubase Pro 9.5
  2. Add a midi track and add a measure or two with the pencil.
  3. Draw a note or notes in the piano roll
  4. Open score editor - ensure page mode is selected
  5. Go to File / Print >> nothing happens. At all.
  6. Go to File / Page Setup >> nothing happens. At all.

    \
  7. Open existing project made in Cubase Pro 9 into Cubase Pro 9.5
  8. Open score editor - ensure page mode is selected
  9. Go to File / Print >> nothing happens. At all.
  10. Go to File / Page Setup >> nothing happens. At all.

Do all of the above in Cubase Pro 9 and everything works as expected.

Since it’s working correctly here, I would imagine there’s some problem on your system- pretty hard to troubleshoot on the forum.

I would play with the system print prefs, toggle Let Windows manage my default printer, and remove/reinstall the main printer driver. Maybe that will reset whatever needs to be reset.

(I see this issue is old already, hope you got it resolved.)

The other post in this thread is about a different printing problem, so I’ll remove it, you can post your own topic. (specifically descriptive titles are helpful)

Just tested this on Pro 9.5 and all is working. Win-10 64bit, 8GB RAM.

Hi there;

I appreciate you looking into this and confirming that it works as expected for others.

I’ll see what I can chase down as possible culprits on my own system then.
