Event Viewer Applications (Faulting application name: vstscanner.exe, version: 4.2.10)
My Cubase 13 Pro is crashing at random points during a work session. It is not happening at predictable time and I see no patterns to the event taking place. My guess is that I have a faulty/non-standard/corrupt plugin being managed by this program.
Have there been instances where the actual executable is bad? Meaning it is not bad plugins but vstscanner.exe executable itself.
I tried renaming the vstscanner.exe file to simulate it being deleted, but Cubase doesn’t like that and will not load my VST3 plugins. I thought Cubase may have auto-repaired the config and copy a new .EXE out to the directory.
I welcome any assistance, suggestions or direction to go.
