Pro Tools Track and ARA Both Playing After Restart

I had great success with SL11 doing audio restoration. Multiple recalls of sessions without issue. Now, unmixed a song in SL12. Did my work, bounced the track, shut down PT. All good.

Now coming back to open the session, the Pro Tools tracks plays in tandem with the ARA layers. If I mute the Pro Tools clip, SL returns no audio. If I solo any of the SL ARA layers, I can hear that layer along with the Pro Tools clip. If I solo the master layer in SL everything mutes.

I’m not too familiar with ARA in general so can’t even imagine what I might be doing wrong or how to trick back into a fix.

I found a workaround while Steinberg research this. I recreated the unmix of the song, then dragged the layers back into Pro Tools on separate tracks. This was a little clunky, but it did work. If I lose connection/control over the layers again, it’s no longer an issue. Inconvenient, but not the end of the world.
