I finally think I have a need to use flows and I can’t figure them out! Here’s what I want:
A 2nd flow at the end of my Big Band chart that will show 2 different condensed 12 measure background parts for saxes, and 2 different background parts for brass (4 backgrounds total) ALL on one pagre. I would castoff for 12 measures per system and 4 systems per frame. So basically four systems, 2 scored for saxes only and 2 scored for brass only. No rhythm section instruments on either. How can I accomplish this?
There are two possibilities.
The first one would be to create a Page Template with two music frames on them. I would not necessarily recommend this as first choice.
Instead, in Setup Mode in the bottom panel: duplicate your first flow twice.
You will end up with three equal flows.
Then select the second flow and on the left panel deselect all players except the Saxophones. This will also delete all music of the instruments (in that flow only).
Do the same with the third flow, except unlink/delete all players except the Brass players.
Now in the right panel create a new layout, link it to all three flows, and in its Layout Options allow flows to continue on the same page. You might have to tweak that layout a bit, but you can end up with a last page containing flow 2 and flow 3 only.
