Problem Understanding VST Editor

I have installed and opened the VST Editor for my Yamaha S90XS. I was hoping to be able to create “Performances” with my computer keyboard easier than using the S90XS controls.

I successfully connected with the instrument and right away I was given the option of working with “Control Templates”, but saw nothing about Voices or Performances. I don’t understand Control Templates, nor how I can make Performances with them. There seems to be no connection I can find either in the software or manuals.

I have to admit I am new at this, but stumbling through the manuals trying to understand these concepts is frustrating and I feel like an idiot.

Maybe I should phrase my question a different way…

Do you know if any tutorials or articles that can help me learn how to edit voices and performances in the VST Editor?
