I can’t play the videos. I can import them, but when I activate the video player, no image. The codecs are days ahead, I’m on Windows 10.
I tried different mp4 formats, avi, mov. I also tried several videos. It doesn’t work.

If you could share some details like system, OS, Cubase version and video file format chances are high that you might get an answer 
I am using windows, cubase 14 and i made sure the video is in h264 mp4 file only
Have a look at this and scroll down to exceptions regarding your format. Do they apply in your case?
Last year, using Cubase 13 with an AMD 6700 XT, there were no issues playing videos.
But then I upgraded my GPU to an AMD 7900 XTX, and suddenly - issues.
NO amount of tweaking made the slightest difference. I’ve had to resort to using Intel Graphics, via Windows graphics settings.
Sometimes, as in my case, it’s the hardware.
FTR my AMD 7900 XTX allows Cubase 12 and earlier to play videos, flawlessly.
Playing videos in browsers was also screwed, but that was solved by setting the browsers to turn of hardware acceleration.
I seriously wonder if the “improvements” of late are in this area.
