Problem when copy pasting lyrics from one project to another

I am rearranging a piece for another group, and when I copy-pasted the lyrics from the original arrangement into a new document, they are un-selectable in the score and they are too small. They look fine in the part layout, and theoretically I don’t need to click on them in the score layout, nor do I even need to print the score (its for a small group with no conductor). But it bugs me. Why is this happening?

That’s weird, indeed.
Still easy to fix:
I went into the part layout, “Select All”, “Filter by Lyrics>All”, then switched to the score layout:

I noticed, a non existent Paragraph style applied in the Property Panel. So I disabled it and everything is “back to normal”:

I am sure, right away after these two steps (don’t deselect the lyrics yet) you could re-apply your favourite Paragraph style for lyrics.

Yeah I had a different paragraph style for lyrics in the original score. It was full orchestral so I made them bigger for the conductor to follow without his eyeballs falling out. I hadn’t thought about doing what you suggested.

I’ve had this happen before when pasting lyrics between projects. Never had a solution for it.
