My project is 40-45 min long. I start export to VST 2.2.15 whith “Media Project”.
It was not usable, because events was not in right place. Ok, tried DAWproject. Many times. Litle bit better but always the same. Starting point was’nt correct and events on tracks havn’t right place. Some times they crashing into each other. I spend lot of time to corretct manualy. Finaly I got right events on right place, but it is confusing. Another problem ( may be project is too long for Vst live, strange, but not everybody write only 2 min. dance songs) is crashing, when I zooming fast.
Thanks for response and good luck for VSTlive 3.0:-)
HI @ziggy52,
are you working with the last version (2.2.15) of VST Live?
Is it possible to get access to the DAWproject file? Or the MediaProject file + Assets? Then we can check what’s going wrong. Maybe you can send me PM?
Can you please check if crash logs were created? Can we get them? You can drop them here.
See you,
Michael.
Hi , Michael,
DAW is very big, 3.4 GB. There is no crash log under \YourUsername\Documents\Steinberg\CrashDumps…
I can send only two vlprj files or You need to give me some site.
- “Tīrītais no backup DAW pr” 24.03
- younger “Tīrītais 02 no backup DAW pr 27.03”
Audio is separate and huge. Project is 40 min and until now I don’t find best way how to split in separate songs
All the best
Zigmars

Just to make sure…you do have loads of memory on your machine? Because if you run excessive projects, you need excessive hardware
We’ll check your project, thanks for that.
As for event times not syncing, when ex/importing projects, if there are problems, it is a good idea to set project offset to zero (can later reset again).
32 Gb think enough? What is strange. Half of events is in exact place, but some other not. Some even run on top each other..

sure that should be enough
Looking at your files, there is nothing that VST Live should not be able to handle (of course, not having the audio files - will try to find some way to test).
Without the Cubase file we can’t say about event syncing issues.
We have a suspicion reg. crashing with fast zooming though. We’ll check that, but to see where things go wrong when ex/importing from and to Cubase, we’d need a Cubase file as well.
Also to repeat, make sure sample rates match, and avoid project offsets on either end. Should not make a difference, just in case.
Thanks for now. I’ll experiment.
Unfortunately, there is another small but unpleasant problem.
Every time I start VSTlive, a sharp digital noise appears, which disappears when I reset the audio device.
At the same time C14 parallel sounds normal. Vst also sounds ok after reset.
Sound card is Focusrite Scarlett 4i4 4th Gen

That’s quite unusual. We used an older version of the Scarlett and no such problems. Also double-checked that all buffers are cleared before the audio device is activated.
Does it disappear when you open the panel (and possibly change something like blocksize)?
