Hello guys,
when using cues in instruments that are already notated transposed by an octave by definition (e.g. Euphonium in Bb), the cues behave quite strangely. It seems that the instrument’s native transposition isn’t taken into account, which causes Dorico to automatically raise or lower the cues by an unnecessary octave using 8va or 8ba.
In the following example, you can see that the cues from the Horn (bar 1) and Trombone (bar 3) are unnecessarily shifted down by an octave in the Euphonium part, while the Euphonium cue (bar 5) is unnecessarily shifted up by an octave in the other instruments.
@Dorico team: Could you please check this when you get a chance, so that it’s not necessary to manually adjust each cue in Properties → Octave shift?
