I am in cut time and have a pickup bar of one single 16th note, so I type “cutc=0.125” which is working fine. But later on I need the opposite, so a full cutc bar minus one 16th. Why is “cutc=0.875” not working and gives me 1q+1 dotted e instead of 3q+1 dotted e? Any idea what I am doing wrong?
Try using Shift-B -1x. In note input mode, place the cursor at the last 16:th, then Shift-B -1x

Just to answer this question (@jesele’s suggestion is better in your case):
This Time Signature is cutc,1.875 (i.e. one half+ 0.875 half), and not 0.875 (which is 0.875 half, so indeed 1 q+1dotted e)
