hi guys,
when double clicking an audio file in the mediabay, cubase behaves as expected and places the sample on a new audio track in the current project. However, when i do the same with a midi file, cubase places the midi file in a new project and not my current project.
Can you please tell me what i am doing wrong?
You can drag the midi file from the media bay directly to an existing midi/ instrument track or rack on the project page. It will also create one if dragged to an empty spot on the project page using which ever default vst you’ve chosen in preferences. Doesn’t quite change the behavior you’ve described but hope it helps.
