I’m having a serious problem with an Atmos Binaural session using Nuendo 14. I generate the ADM and then open it in Fiedler’s Mastering Console (I’ll have Wavelab 13 soon, haha, I’m still on 11.2) and everything works fine until I generate a BINAURAL file. When I listen to the BIN file in Apple Music on my Mac, it plays almost everything in different places, with some instruments sounding distant—in other words, the mix is messed up. I’ve only been using Atmos Binaural for 3 or 4 months, and afterward, I go to a room to check the mix, and it works fine, but when I generate the BINAURAL, I get this error, and it’s been happening with 3 songs for the past 2 weeks. Most likely, I’m making mistakes like duplicating tracks to extract instruments from the stems already in OBJECTS, and creating group buses in BED and then adding them to OBJECTS by creating them in “ADM Creation.”
Sounds like you’re taking a binaural mix and then listening through Apple Music which may be adding further binaural info. Just listen to your binaural mix from your computer, not through Apple Music.
As far as I know, you cannot generate a BIN file from Nuendo. Unless that is introduced in Nuendo 15 in the next week or so.

The method I use and would suggest at this stage is to get the Wavelab 13 which allows for more control over Atmos ADM files than just about anywhere else. You can export the BIN directly from wavelab not to mention all the other great features. There are a few other apps that can do this, Pro Tools,
If you set the renderer to binaural and then do a normal stereo export you will have a binaural stereo file. I’ve been using Fiedler Audio’s Mastering Console for awhile because it can run on Windows 11.
Hi everyone! To be clearer and more precise, here’s what I do:
1- I generate the ADM from N14.
2- I open it in Fiedler’s Mastering Console and it sounds fine.
3- I generate a BIN file.
4- I import the BIN file from Mastering Console to listen to it, and it sounds like a messed-up stereo mix, not a BIN file.
5- I also play the BIN file in Apple Music and it sounds the same, messed-up stereo.
I downloaded the Windows 13 trial (a wonderful version 13) and imported the ADM file, from the same BIN generator, and the same thing happens: messed-up stereo, not a BIN file.
I was crying because I didn’t know what was going on, hahaha, but it seems that in “Audio Connections” (OUTPUTS), the renderer was messed up, since I usually go to two different studios to check the mixes before making the final ADM. Upon checking F4, I found a mess of connections, so I rearranged everything in the OUTPUT section, leaving only HEADPHONES connected to the CR. So far, everything is working fine; I think that was the issue. What do you all think?
