Problem with new installation of Cubase 6

Hi,

I had Cubase 6 working perfectly on my old PC. Just moved it to new PC (Intel Core i7 2600K Quad Core, Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD3P, Nvidia GeForce GTX 570, Windows pro 7-64 bit), 16 Gigs RAM). Program turns on and records OK. No problems that I’ve seen.

I am trying to fire up a file that worked on the old PC, but I keep getting this message:

"The plug-in “HalionOne” could not be found for Instrument Track “GrandPno”
ditto for all other 6-7 tracks.

How do I solve this problem? I did the exact same installation as before, other than this computer is runing 64-bit windows.

Any help would be gratefully accepted.

Phil

Guess your previous Cubase 6 installation was an upgrade/update from an older Cubase version.
Halion One was replaced by Halion Sonic SE.
Maybe check vic_france’s post in this one

Yes, you are correct. On the old machine I started with Cubase AI and then upgraded to 5, and later to 6. On the new machine I just installed 6. So, you are correct.

I tried importing the file into a new file with Halion Sonic SE and it seemed to work.

I will also check out the link you sent me.

thank you very much for the help.
