Problem with recording Midi (video inside)

So I just randomly encountered this problem.
It might just be so easy that I hit a key on the keyboard the wrong way but I can’t for the life of me figure out how to fix this.
Anyone else had this problem?

This mystery issue has been resolved after removing some unwanted VST’s and rebooting the computer.
Not sure which part was the solution.
