I may have found a problem with using a Reset Tempo marker after entering a Tempo Equation into a piece. My initial tempo was q=176, Presto. I entered a “h=q” into my piece, effectively knocking it down to q=88. Later on, I entered a sostenuto marking, followed by an “a tempo” marking. Instead of resuming the current q=88 tempo, Dorico reverted to the initial q=176 tempo. Nothing I tried would get Dorico to recognize the h=q marker, not even using “Tempo II.” Could you please help with this? Thanks!
Hi @leejackson, you can add, in the popover of a tempo, q=88, or just edit the Tempo (bpm) in the properties panel (you can then not show the metronome marking if desired), and the a tempo will come back as desired:
Dorico file example (I set the final tempo % of sostenuto to 75 as an example):
