Problem with soundcard

I’m using Artist 6 with an M Audio Fast track ultra audio interface.

It’s been working fine for years but for some reason it has changed to the ‘Generic Low Latency Asio Driver’. When I switch it back to my ‘M Audio Fast track Ultra Asio’ a message appears ‘No hardware found or already in Use!’

I downloaded Kontact 5 recently (which I have since deleted) - could this have messed it up somehow?

Any idea of how to solve this problem?

Is it working outside of Cubase?
Have you tried to uninstall and re-install the driver?
What is your o/s?
