Hi everyone. I just downloaded Dorico 6 and after I open it up there are no sounds playing back or even available to assign. I downloaded the sounds from the website links since the Download Manager was doing that “can’t connect to the server” glitch that seemingly a lot of people have experienced. I’m wondering if they didn’t get downloaded correctly or maybe they are in the wrong location? I also tried to download Noteperformer but after completeing the install nothing happens and NP doesn’t even show up on my computer. Possibly a different problem or related I’m not sure. Is there anything I can do to troubleshoot these issues?
Please create a new project from Piano template and then select the menu item Help > Create Diagnostic Report. That will create a zip file on your Desktop, please attach that to a reply here. From the contained logs and things I get a first overview and can come up with more specific advice then.
Thanks

Actually, I’ve managed to get Noteperformer/sounds working now. Also some of the Halion sounds are there (Indian Drum Basics, Marching Perc, Olympus Micro) but not the rest. Might the rest need to be redownloaded?
You should check in Steinberg Library Manager. This will give details of which libraries you have installed and where they are.
In the library manager those are the only three installed.
So, you have not installed Halion Sonic Selection, and (depending on your Dorcio version - Elements or Pro) HSO or Iconica Sketch?
So, back to Steinberg Download Manager… and install them?
(I’m not defending Steinberg’s way of handling these)
I figured it out. You are right they weren’t fully installed. As I mentioned Download Assistant was and is still not working for me so I had to find out how to download them, and more importantly, import them into the library manager without using the download assistant. Thanks
