Problem with tied notes

Hi,

I have some tied notes and want to put a fermata on the last (tied!) note, doric puts the fermata at the first of the tied notes. How can I get this? (Screenshot)

The quickest way is probably to select the rest on the staff below and add the fermata on that. Then it should appear on the last tied note above.

Alternatively, you can press Return to show the caret, position it where you want the fermata to appear, then type Shift-H “fermata”.

You could use the scissors tool “u” to cut the ties, place the fermata then re-tie the notes.
