Hallo, heute Morgen habe ich keinen Zugang zur App, sie öffnet sich, kann aber leider nichts machen. Ich habe versucht meinen Kauf zu aktualisieren, habe das Problem leider nicht lösen können.
Try rebooting your computer as a first step.
Do you get any error messages? Can you open a piece you have been working on? Can you click between Write and Engrave mode?
If you give us more information, suggestions from us here might be more useful.
Thank you
Hi, rebooting iPad do Not resolve the Problem, I can open Dorico files but i canˋt write or edit. Play works (there are Sound), Itˋs Not possible to enter in Engrave Mode. App says that I must pay or restore parchase. it doesnˋt work too. I can enter in Setting Mode but donˋt appearany Setting functions
Hello again, I’ve opened another older file and I’ve been able to edit it, but I can’t switch to engraver mode. Any idea what the problem might be?
Thanks
I know what the problem is now. I can’t restore my purchase of Dorico for iPad. The ‘Restore’ button isn’t working. I urgently need to edit the scores. What can I do?
Does this help?
Thank you so much. It works perfectly
Hey Dorico people,
I’ve got the same problem, for the past few days all of a sudden I can’t edit any of my scores and the „Subscription Button" doesn’t work. I’m on an iPad and have tried restarting the app and iPad. I’ve checked all the forums and was quite disappointed to figure out that there’s no customer service to contact and that all issues we want resolved as paying customers needs to be on a public forum.
As a teacher in Germany I desperately needed to edit my scores for my students and haven’t been able to use the service I paid for, contact anyone nor figure out a way to get around the issue. This software is being introduced as the „new upcoming notation software" and being taught in higher education institutions, yet we can’t get customer service and can’t access the service due to such a small issue (button not working). This specific issue has been brought up on many forums in multiple languages and yet there hasn’t been an update yet.
I don’t have the full version, I pay monthly, unfortunately the trick with clicking on the „buy the full version" doesn’t work.
What else can I try? I was going to uninstall the app and try again, but without access to my files, I can’t save them elsewhere without access to the version I’m paying for and don’t want to loose all the files for my students.
I really enjoy Dorico and have been recommending it to all my colleagues at High Schools and my colleagues at the music institute…
Please help! How do I go about getting some customer service that’s not a public display of what I’m paying?
Thanks and good luck!
Derek,
welcome. You, joining this forum, was a good idea, as we’re here to help you.
We will solve your issue.
First, do you know the Files app on your iPad?
In the German OS version it might be called „Dateien“ (?).
It is a file explorer for all your files, which are stored on your iPad and on any connected online services.
So the firs step I would suggest is, try to get familiar with its interface and navigate to your project files.
They might be in a folder On my iPad->Dorico
Or they might be at another location, depending, how you set up your file system, cloud services etc.
You can also search for project files, if you remember how you called them.
Check the dates, when they were created and saved.
This is to reassure you, that all your Dorico projects are actually present.
If you haven’t setup to backup your iPad on a regular basis, this would be a good moment to do so.
If you are concerned about specific projects, you can also email those files (from within the Files app) to your own email address.
This is the first step for you to make sure, all your projects are there, and you do not need to worry about them.
Second step (in a further message).
What this leaves out is that it may take a number of attempts to make this happen. Some who have had this problem have only had it work after several (many?) attempts! It’s a pain, I know, but try it a number of times — don’t give up!
And welcome to the forum! You’ll find this a friendly and helpful place!

Hi, maybe Update iOS
How do I go about getting some customer service
I forgot to tell you… The Dorico team reads every post here! There is no need to try to connect with “customer service” somewhere else. In fact, this forum is the best place to get help from “customer service!” And you will have a lot of long-time users and experts who are quite willing to share their knowledge.
