My project has a drum map which was created via the automatic “Create Drum Map From Instrument” option. I re-ordered the entries in the map so there were no gaps and related instruments were together. I saved the map.
On re-loading the project, the original order was restored, complete with gaps. I re-loaded the saved (correct) map, but now cannot make it apply to the track, it continually reverts to the original order. Specifically, I click “load”, it loads in the correct order, I select the new drum map in the MIDI track inspector, and immediately it snaps back to the old order.
Cubase 8 Pro 8.0.x, 12GB RAM, Windows 8.1.
