Problems with Lyrics on iPad

Hi,

I’m having a problem with the latest version of Dorico for the iPad. The app closes the project as soon as I type a space in the lyrics using my external keyboard (made by Inateck). Best regards, Markus

Markus, that’s unfortunate, indeed.
Have you tried to input lyrics with the onboard keyboard, and what happens there with the “space bar”? This just to make sure, there is no special keyboard command signed to that key. Also, does your inateck keyboard space bar work well in your word processor app (f.e. Pages)?
I just checked with my (onboard) keyboard - which shows no issues (I am also using the most recent version of Dorico on iPad - 6.2.31 build 6094 - Jun 8 2026):

Hi k_b,
if I take the onboard keyboard the space bar runs without any problem. But I know, that my external keyboard runs with every other app…

Markus, does the app close “normally”; that is, does it close back to the hub or does it “crash”? And does the space bar work normally when used elsewhere in Dorico (system text, popovers, etc)?

The app doesn’t close completely, but runs back to the Dorico-Hub (the page where you find “Letzte öffnen”, “Neue erzeugen”, “Lernen”, “Neuigkeiten” (transl: Open recent, New, learn, news").

In other apps like MS Word oder Google Notice the keyboard (esp. the space bar) runs regularly.
