Problems with VST version in Ableton Live

I’m a new user of Halion Sonic 2, and have encountered odd behavior using it as a plug-in in Live 9.1

Is there a known problem with this? I didn’t see any mention in this forum.

When using the VST version some instruments/presets load, others will not (for example, nothing from Auron or Voltage). For those, I see a scrolling “loading” message but it never loads. There is a crossed out circle symbol on the top line when this happens. The AU version appears to work fine.

Have I missed a setting somewhere?

The VST version of Halion Sonic is VST3. Live is only supporting VST 2.4. I guess this is the reason for your problems.

Thanks for the info. Guess I will use AU version for now
