In Cubase 5, is there a way to process the side chain signal in a quadro track separately from the compressed audio? What I’m thinking of is shown for side chaining in FabFilter Pro-C in this video (the 8:45 mark), where he uses an EQ to isolate just a particular portion of the side chain signal:
It makes sense that this should be possible since it’s a separate signal path from the audio that is affected by the plugin, but I haven’t been able to find it in Cubase.
On a related note, I noticed that if I want to use multiple side chain effects (say, a compressor and a separate filter) on the same quadro group track, only the first insert receives the side chain input, and it doesn’t make it to any subsequent plugins. Is there a way to adjust this so I can use multiple side chain effects on the same bus?
