Copying a section of a MIDI part with the range tool should also split the CC (if this option is enabled: Preferences/Editing/MIDI/Split MIDI Controllers).

The Range Tool should split everything. It should definitely split MIDI notes and CC data.

Report this as a bug instead, it makes no sense that it doesn’t behave this way.

No, not a bug. As the topic is tagged, this is a feature request, not a bug report. Note that copying using the range tool keeps the CCs, but cutting does not.
The preference refers to the splitting in any case, not cutting or copying, and in Cubase lexicon they are different tools.

Ok, it’s such an odd software design choice, I just assumed it’s a bug. I wonder who would ever want this behaviour when the setting “Split MIDI controllers” is enabled.
