In one of my projects (Cubase Artist 14, Mac) the project cursor moves in fixed steps when playing or recording. I can’t find where to turn it off. Help very appreciated.

Is there anything specific in this project? Is it heavier than other projects? Is there any plug-in in use which you are not using in other projects?
Thank you Martin! The cursor is not lagging, it’s moving in exact steps. The project is one of my lightest pluginwise and contains no unique plugin.

Do you mean while playback/record, or do you mean when you click into the Ruler and try to set the position of the Cursor?
If the 2nd is the case, disable the Snap to Grid (J).

Sorry it doesn’t. Haven’t found a solution. The playhead jumps in steps, only visually, during playing and recording. Audio works, no jumps. Recording works. No processor overload. I’ve tried with deleting tracks, plug-ins and preferences.
