I want to be able to use PLE to select the group channel folders implemented in 15.0.20 and NOT regular folder tracks, but I can’t find a way that works. I tried the following methods with the Action being Select:
- Output Name/Channel Equal to Stereo Out (should select these, as it selects anything else going to Stereo Out, but does not select group folder tracks).
- Media Type is Equal to Group AND Container Type is Equal to Folder Track (no selection change whatsoever).
Looks like group folder tracks will select if Container Type is Equal to Folder Track, but so will all folders that are NOT group folder tracks.
Any ideas?

It doesn’t really seem like there is a direct method.
PLE needs to be updated for direct targeting of this… Steinberg doesn’t really seem to, at least not always, maintain PLE to = new feature additions/changes on release. IMO, a development protocol they should rectify.
In the mean time, and something I was already doing, was adding “codes” in the names of channels that can be targeted, for example I use
^ Vocals (folder)
VocalLead
Vocal Dbl
# Vocal Sum (Group)
Once I update to 15.0.2 and incorporate Group Folders, I’ll probably use ^#
You can then also use PLE to create shortcuts to remove these name codes when you export, as well as a PLE to prepend add them.
