We can easily perform track name operations with the PLE, but can we do the same with the track version text field? PLE would become even more useful if it could modify the version name of, say, 30 tracks (“Copy of v1”) to something else…

You can do this by creating a macro.

Select tracks with same version ID
Rename version

Make sure to select one of the tracks first.

Thank you so much! I didn’t know about the “Track Versions” category (in the Key Commands window). I also found useful the “Assign Common Versions ID” command.

imo, it would still be nice to be able to target TrackVersions with PLE, because you could create “quick naming shortcuts” that append onto the end of the TrackVersion like, “good”, “bad”, “pre-edit”, “edit”, “edit-bnc”, “clean up”, etc… all at the stroke of a key, instead of having to open the rename dialog box.
