This one is pretty obvious. Now that we have that nice right zone, why is the project pool still a floating, Windows 3.1 style window?

YES. +1,000,000. The Right Zone is designed perfectly for having the Pool in it, and I very often wish it was there instead of needing to open up another floating window.
+1 as well as also, giving the Pool and Library an update in GUI and features… Like, a playback timeline/scrubber, waveform inspector, etc.
Haven an option to filter based on selected track.

No way man this is way to Logical, it would offend many
