Title pretty much says anything. I was doing a project in LE 15 and it worked fine. I then upgraded to Elements. Now the same project constantly triggers ASIO guard and drops out. Nothing in the project was changed in terms of arrangement and such, so I don’t see why this should even happen.
Have your project settings or your buffer settings changed from how it was recorded originally.
The only changes were a new audio device and a slightly higher buffer (256 to 512), but everything else is the same. There are no audio tracks in this project.
Well, a new audio device is rather significant change in my book, and could have an influence.
You can still start Cubase in “LE” mode (while holding down the ALT key directly after clicking the Cubase icon, don’t know which key on a Mac), the you’ll get a dialog where you can chose the license mode, so you can directly compare the version with you new audio device.
I did run the same project in “LE” mode and it did still dropout, but considerably less. Then, I closed Cubase, tried again and now there are no dropouts in either version.
