Forgive me if I’ve missed an earlier post…
I notice that the project time position slider is visible only when you hover the mouse over the transport bar.
Is this a bug or a “feature”? I have always relied on this heavily on this visual shortcut and cannot imagine a scenario where this is an improvement.
Pilot error? Is there something I am missing?
I agree…please make it visible as it was before.
Maybe we can get someone from Steinberg (or a mod) to chime in here?
Maybe I overlooked it, but I don’t see anything in the manual about this being something that can be changed via preference settings.
And let me say: this is a huge inconvenience for the way I have used Cubase for many years.
Can someone from Steinberg please comment: is this a bug? Or is it a very wrong-headed “improvement”?

Its working for me… I’ve had other issues but this isn’t one of them.

Interesting.
So, you see the project time position slide - that is, the actual green bar itself - without having to hover your mouse over the transport bar?
I agree… I don’t see any reason to have it hidden unless hovered over. On the other hand, I have no problem with it being “thinner” than in previous versions.
Perhaps Steinberg will revisit (or fix) this.
Having lived with this a while, I have to say this is driving me to distraction.
Please, Steinberg: can you please restore the way this worked in v8?
Bump. This continues to drive me to distraction!
