Project Window Lower Zone/Key Editor is too far to the right

Project Window Lower Zone/Key Editor is too far to the right. How do I remove the large space on the left side?

Cubase Pro 14; Windows 10

You have “Link Project and Lower Zone Editor Cursors” activated. When you do that, the lower zone editor view will get in sync with the margins of the track names in the project window.
See this screenshot:

The thing is that when you deactivate it, the lower zone doesn’t redraw instantly. You have for example to click on another editor first, or another tab, e.g. “Sample Control” in your screenshot. I think this is an issue.

m.c, thank you for taking the time to reply.

I tried your solution before I posted. There is also some other possibly related problems. 1) Shift-F stopped working at the same time. 2) I no longer can scroll to the far right side of a project. 3) when I turn link back on the windows no longer link properly.

Only happens in the Lower Zone. When I use key editor in full screen it is fine.

All projects are now affected by this new anomally.

Started happening when I mis-navigated with the track ball.

I guess Cubase has always behaved like this. And I just never noticed. The solution is to have a bunch of empty space at the end of a project, which I almost always do. Most likely I chopped off too much time (in Project/Setup) and when I went back to navigate I started having the issue.
