Proofreading is a Welcome Addition to Dorico 6

I was going through my files and ran across this arrangement of ‘Rock of Ages’ I did 20 years ago! I decided to check it with the new proofreading tool in Dorico 6. I found enough ‘boo-boos’ that I am republishing the score and parts (little things like ‘vibrato’ for the keyboard-which doubles Vibes in places, and dynamic placements/additions). It was written in Finale. When I discovered Dorico, I converted my Finale files to .xml and imported them into Dorico. For this arrangement, I found that the best playback option with the library resources I had available at the time turned out to be Steinberg’s HSO, HALion Sonic Sel template. It still sounds pretty good, I think; enough so that I may not change it-except for some balance issues-which Dorico’s mixer makes easy.
