Wow, proofreading is such a valuable new feature! I love it and wished I was able to use it three weeks ago when I shared a score.
I am not sure about the following check: this is an extract from a part layout and obviously it shows the mp as redundant. I am wondering if this check needs to be like that or if it needs to be enhanced to also compare the suffixes of the dynamics.
With the hide function of the dynamics (selectable in the lower screen section), it is possible to make the notification disappear. So having „mp molto espressivo“ and another dynamics with „espressivo“ (and hide mp) will remove the notification. I am wondering if there shouldn‘t be an option to also check for different suffixes or allow somehow to hide the specific notification.
In your example, it is even a different dynamic, so it should not popup imo.
You shouldn’t get a warning for “piu p” following “p”, and indeed I don’t in a simple test case. If you could attach a short example where this is going wrong I can take a look.
Thank you @Richard_Lanyon I have gone through all my autosaves in my Trash to find it. Very strangely I cannot.
I am beginning to wonder if the più was not there, so I had to add it (because it reported two p p beside each other) meaning, I was mistaken entirely, sorry.
It was an import from Musescore and I tried reimporting from various (similar) files but did not find it either, but there are a very many of them, and I very easily could have got confused as to which I imported and where it was found.
For now, I think ignore my post (I will amend), there are so many autosaves in the various versions of the file(s) I had opened as I was copy/pasting between many of them to create the actual score and it is too tedious to check them all.
