Punch In and Out

Hi everybody,

First of all I must say, that I’m a Cubase beginner! Here’s my problem:

when I want to correct false notes by using Punch In/Out, the former recording still persists and is not overwritten - the result is, that I have 2 voices instead of one - the incorrect and the correct one, for example.

What can I do to let Cubase 15 delete the former recording?
